Gymnastics

Will started a gymnastics class this week at the Gymnastics Academy of Atlanta. I thought it would be a good way for him to get some exercise, expend some energy and maybe improve his coordination. He seemed to really like it. We also had a birthday party at the gym today for William's friend, Hailey.

This is a serious gym. Michael and I were watching these girls on the beam and bars flying through the air. We really got a kick out of the girls climbing up the ropes hung from the ceiling. We laughed because we realized how really out of shape we both are-- there's no way we could make it half way up.

Mae had so much fuun at the party today. She was running on the mats and climbing on the blocks. She didn't stop!

At Will's gym class he wouldn't jump into the pit. Michael tossed Maren in and she loved it. After watching all of the other kids William finally jumped in after swinging on the the rope swing.

Maren & Mrs. Joan

Mrs. Joan lives in our n'hood and works in Maren's room at school. She also took care of Hailey's little brother when he was in the baby room. Maren would run around at the party and then head straight for Mrs. Joan. It was so cute.
