Santa's Early Visit

William loves these magnets!

Because we will be going to New Orleans for Christmas I called Santa on Saturday morning to see if he could come early. After William had a morning bath we heard Santa downstairs. William hurried to get dressed and we made our way downstairs. There were presents under the tree and his biggest present of all- his big boy bed was in his new room! William took his first nap in his big boy bed that day and tonight is his second night sleeping in his new room. We are so excited that he is loving his new bed and room!

Chuck E. Cheese

William was so excited to see Chuck E. Cheese!

Tonight was our first visit to Chuck E. Cheese. William had an absolute blast. He was overwhelmed by everything there was to do. We ate pizza, watched the show and then rode plenty rides. He talked about wanting to go on the big slide the entire time we were there, but he never built up the courage to do it. I'm ok with that!

Our Weekend Visitor

Ron, Michael & Brian
Mike, Brian & Michael

Our friend Mike Yenni finally came to visit us! We've been here a year and waiting for him to visit us. Saturday Mike was in heaven-- the guys played golf and then we went to Fogo de Chao. They actually had a frost delay because it was so cold at Stone Mountain that morning. That evening our friends Brian and Catrina, Ron & Rona and their daughter Gracie went to eat with us at the Brazilian restaurant, Fogo de Chao. (They just keep bringing out more and more meat!) Everyone was stuffed! William and Gracie especially enjoyed the vanilla ice cream for dessert. Today we finished off Mike's visit with a trip to the PGA Superstore. William always loves to sit in the golf carts and play on the putting greens. It was a very full weekend! Now it's time to get to the gift wrapping.

Christmas Party

My friends Suzie and Karen

My company's Christmas party was this weekend. Michael and I enjoyed a nice evening together. He finally got to meet everyone he has heard so much about. Our friends Brian and Catrina watched William. They're going to start a running tally soon and we're going to owe them big time.

Christmas Tree

We weren't sure if we would get a tree this year since we'll be traveling, but it just doesn't feel like Christmas without one! I decorate most of the tree alone because I'm kind of particular about the ornaments. The "William-friendly" ornaments are on the bottom half. I have started to collect Christopher Radko ornamants in past few years. Michael gave me my first Christmas present because it was for the Christmas tree. It was a Radko ornament of Georgia. I love it!

Pink Pig 2006

Daddy & William waiting in line to ride the Pink Pig.

"I want to ride!"

The old Pink Pig car. Can you imagine climbing in there?Pink Pig 2005

Pink Pig 2006

Last year we went to visit the Pink Pig with my parents. Michael was unable to go so this year the three of us went to Lenox together to ride the Pink Pig. William was very excited! Last year I rode in the car with him. This year it was Daddy's turn. The seats are so small only one adult and one child can fit. I rode alone and managed to bang the side of my leg when squeezing out. I can't even imagine what it was like to ride in the old cars (see the pic. above). After the ride we went to visit Aimee and Brad. We had a great day!

Let Me Help You

There isn't much that we can do around the house without William at our heels wanting to help. His favorite places to help are in the laundry room and in the kitchen. We are spending Thanksgiving at home, just the 3 of us. We made a cake on Wednesday night for our Thanksgiving dessert. William was right in the middle helping Daddy pour in the ingredients, holding the mixer and licking the bowl. He was very proud of himself!
