Pumpkin Patch and Waterfalls

Last weeked we took a drive about an hour away to Burt's Farm and Amicalola Falls. I was fairly delusional about the weather and made my family wear jeans. It's October for goodness sakes-- shouldn't it be cooler! It was very sunny and about 85 degrees so needless to say we were all sweating our tails off!
Besides that we all had a great time. We caravaned up there with the Dinsmore's, DeFusco's and Hillman's. Since we all have carseats we are forced to take separate cars and travel in a pack!
Burt's Farm has thousands of pumpkins of all sizes. William and Gracie had a great time playing with the gigantic pumpkins and the wheelbarrows. Here are some shots we got of the crew!

The DeFusco's
(Mike, Emily, Mel and Baby Boy DeFusco on the way!)

The Dinsmore's

Thought this was a cute sign.

Look how big Em looks in her jeans-- a real big girl outfit!
Mommy was loving posing Emily on the big pumpkins.

Baby Mason was such a good sport. He was intrigued by the mulch in his hands. He kept grabbing at it.Gracie-- always ready for the camera!

Here are a few shots from the Amicalola Falls. It's one of Georgia's most popular state parks. Amicalola, a Cherokee Indian word meaning "tumbling waters," is an appropriate name for these 729-foot falls ~~ the tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. An 8.5 mile approach trail leads from the park to Springer Mountain, the southern end of the 2,135-mile Appalachian Trail. It was a beautiful park and a gorgeous day!
