Easter 2009

I know I am really late in posting this but I am desperately trying to catch up. Especially since we are leaving this weekend for vacation and I know I'll have a tons of pics from the trip.
My Dad and Stepmom came to visit for Easter this year. I was especially excited to have my Maw-Maw come to Atlanta for the first time to see me! We had a great time!

We decided to go to Easter vigil mass so that our Sunday would be free. It was a very long mass and surprisingly the kids did great!

I had to say some extra prayers for cracking up laughing when I kid puked in the aisle and then the church lady slipped in it when she went to clean it up. (Is it wrong to still laugh at that--because I'm chuckling as I write. I wasn't alone, my Dad couldn't keep a straight face either!)

Meme's Easter Bunny brought a Dora doll and Maren was in love!

I know I took way too many photos of my girl on Easter but she looked so adorable in her dress!

She is such a silly child!

We took advantage of Maren's nap and did several Easter Egg Hunts with Will. We would hide all of them and then he'd find them and demand that we hide them in harder hiding spots. This lasted at least an hour! Thankfully he was happy just finding empty eggs.

We did it a little backwards and dyed eggs Easter Sunday afternoon. We made a mess and had a good time.

A Little Glimpse of Game Night

I took this shot on the way to game night last month. Is there any question why she has my heart?

I just love the way these two are looking at each other. They were cracking each other up!

Catch Up

The months of March and April have just flown by! March started with a weekend of Michael out of town and ended with me being out of town. I had a chance to go to Ole Miss for a reunion weekend. Most of you know that I spent 2 awesome years at Ole Miss before finishing college at LSU. I had two totally different college experiences at each school and wouldn't change it for anything.
I went to Ole Miss very naive about sororities and rush. I knew that most girls on campus went through the pledging process so I figured- why not. I swear I look back and wonder how in the world I got into a sorority. I just remember how "un-put together" I felt. All of these Mississippi girls knew just what to wear and just what to do.

My rush experience was pure fate and I ended up getting a bid from Kappa Alpha Theta and it was the perfect place for me. I met some of my closest friends in Theta and it is a bond that will always tie us together.

I will embarass myself and post some college pics in this blog post below.

This is what rush looks like from the outside. This was my Sophmore year so we're the ones screaming/singing out the front door at the poor Freshmen.

Me & Courtney Hendry
Courtney has always been one of my favorite Thetas. I think I always loved that she seemed to have it all together and I always felt completely opposite.

Theta has been on the University of Mississippi's campus for 30 years and the house has undergone huge renovations so they held a reunion in March. All of the alum were invited up and thanks to Facebook a bunch of girls in my pledge class and surrounding classes decided to go.

I hadn't been to Oxford in over 10 years. It's easy to realize why I fell in love with it in the first place. The campus is gorgeous and there is enough small town charm to suck in anyone! It was a very fast visit, but it was great! Although a lot of us hadn't spent time together is very long time we all picked up right where we left off. I am so proud to be a part of such a great organization with some incredible ladies!

April Daily Photos

My daughter is obsessed with undies! She loves to pull all of Will's undies out of the laundry basket. This morning she insisted they go on over her bloomers. She pitched a fit when I tried to take them off. So, she went to school with them on and eventually one of her teachers got them off.
