A Very Happy Easter

The Easter bunny visited us on Sunday. Of course William had a basket full of goodies from the bunny, Mommy & Daddy and grandparents. Maren just had a few things. (Thanks, Pops!) I'm sure her basket will look quite different next year!

Maren LOVES her rings!

We spent most of our Easter Sunday with the DeFuscos. We started the afternoon with an Easter Egg hunt for Emily & William. Since Emily is only 1 1/2 her eggs were a laid on the grass. The 66 eggs that Mike hid for William were in every bush, tree and plant in their backyard. Em wanted to carry her own basket and it got quite heavy, but she was determined to do it herself. Michael had to carry William's since it got so full. After the hunt we had a delicious Easter dinner. Michael was VERY excited to eat Mrs. Pat's home cooking! He waited all weekend for her roast and gravy!

Emily finally got a look at William's basket and wanted Uncle Lipps to give her some of his eggs.

William & Michael going through his loot. He got a little over $3 in change, lizards and Curious George stamps and a stamp pad. Emily was very curious and made sure Uncle Lipps knew she wanted in on the action.

Maren checked out what was going on.

Michael and I are convinced that her tongue doesn't fit in her mouth! She is always sticking it out!

It was too cold for Jack to go outside so he and Mr. Lou stayed in the house.
Jack is staying awake more so I was quick to grab the camera and get some Mommy & Jack moments.

Maren's not crawling yet, but she makes her way to what she wants. She twists, turns and rolls in every direction.

A brief brother/sister moment!

Emily is usually right at William's heels trying to see what he's doing. She is starting to get more and more interested in Maren. I couldn't get a good shot of them together. Most of the time if Maren has something in her hands William is right there to grab it and show her the correct way to play with it. This time Emily was right there the grab the ball, but she was quick to give it back and find out where Will went.

Some of William's eggs from the hunt had Curious George stamps in them. They came in quite handy as he started to get antsy in the afternoon. I just didn't think it through all the way. He made everyone, including the dogs, fabulous stamp art. The bad part was that at the end it turned into finger print art work. He was stained blue all over his hands, a little on his face and on one ear. We quickly dumped he and Em in the tub. Most of the blue came off. He and Maren had school pictures on Monday and one of the requests is to be stamp and (fake) tatoo free--- way to go, Mom!

Pictures

Last Saturday we piggy backed on Mel and Mike's photo session with our favorite photographer, Johnny Walker. Mel was having some pictures taken while her in-laws were in town. In my constant effort to keep things even with both children I jumped at the opportunity to have a six month picture taken of Maren (just like I did for William). Here a few of the photos I borrowed from the Johnny's website.

Jackaroos Boutique

There is a link to the Langston Family on my blog. Sherry Langston's sister-in-law has started an awesome online company. It is called Jackaroos Boutique. Jennifer makes custom children's clothing and gifts. The fabrics and designs are fabulous! Be sure to check out the new link I have added to Jackaroos!

Are these two related, or what?!

Is this wrong?

I gave Maren her bath tonight and couldn't help but use her bunny towel. Here are some absolutely adorable pics of her in her towel!

Primrose Easter Egg Hunt

Today Michael and I were able to make it to William's school for their Easter Egg Hunt. It was a beautiful day, but a little chilly. The owner of the school was dressed up as the Easter Bunny for the kids. Here are some pics!
The Bunny visited Maren's room too!
This little girl was born the same day as Maren and she is teeny tiny!
The kids were told that they could only grab 4 or so eggs so this is William asking permission to pick up more eggs.
Will wanted to come and show us what he had found!

I could not have been a more proud Mommy-- William's teacher, Mrs. Judy asked his friend, Ezra how many eggs he had in his basket. Ezra had been playing instead of picking up eggs so his basket was empty. Without being asked, William started taking eggs out of his basket and put them into Ezra's. What a sweet boy!

William was so excited to have his Daddy there!

St. Patty's Day

Here are some great St. Patty day pics of the kids. Maren has made some big strides in the last month. She is sitting up on her own, holding her bottle (when she wants too) and she just started clapping! We are enjoying every second! William is loving that he can make her smile and laugh.

Og's Pail

At William's school there is a book worm named Og. When the teacher takes out the Og puppet the kids know that they are going to work on letters and reading. Each child gets the chance to take home Og's Letter Pail. The teacher lets us know what the letter of the week will be the following week and we must return the pail filled with items that start with that letter. When I picked up Will last Friday he had Og's Pail and the letter "U". I was stumped for "U". I had to go online to get something other than umbrella and unicorn. We ended up coming up with unicorn, umbrella, unicycle, umpire, uncle, utensils, USA and uniform. William was super excited to bring his daddy's high school football uniform.
