Cousins!

We were one of Tara's stops on her cross country journey! William and Ellie had a good time playing with each other. They are 2 of a kind-- strongwilled, determined and sweet natured! Our visit was brief, but we loved every second.

Fernbank Museum

Last weekend we took William to the Natural History Museum. It was the birthday bash for the big dinosaur they have there. William saw tons of animals, made a birthday hat and ate birthday cake ice cream. We had a great time execpt for the exit through the gfit store! (Wrong move-- we were one of "those" people.) Sorry about the placement of these pics--this thing is not very user friendly with photos.

I did it!

We are into the "terrible" 2's! William is definitely stepping out, defining who he is and wanting to do everything himself. The other morning we changed his diaper and he wanted to put on his PJ shorts himself. We walked away and let him struggle (for quite a while). He finally jumped up and shouted, "I did it!" Michael and I couldn't help but giggle when we saw the shorts were on inside out and backwards. He was so proud of himself and so were we!

Water Play!

At William's school they had water play every other Friday this summer. One Friday I kept he and a friend of ours' daughter home with me for the day. I bribed them all day long with the promise of water play after their naps. It took forever for them to settle down and nap, but finally late in the afternoon we made it outside to play in the baby pools. They had a blast!
